Finalizing Stage 1 Planting for 2012:
The first full month of planting will end this week for our 2012 season. Today our final 6,000 saplings from this first stage of 25,000 arrived and went immediately into the field for hand planting.
Our head forester carefully checks and counts every tree upon delivery and registers the stock into our planting log. The farm crew form several 4-6 man groups that work in unison as they dig each hole and plant each new baby tree.
